What is TED?
Stimulating, smart, innovative, young, international: these are just some of the adjectives attributed to TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design), the conference born in California (USA) in 1984 with the aim of spreading ideas that deserve to be shared. Established speakers worldwide are invited to disseminate their ideas with the aim of inspiring the public.
What are the TEDx?
The TEDx are run by the private US non-profit Sapling Foundation.
TEDx are local events, organized independently under license, which reproduce their form in full respect of the social and cultural fabric that hosts them. Today it has over 14,000 local initiatives in over 165 countries.
TEDx was initially dedicated to technology and design, consistent with its Silicon Valley origin, but later extended its range of expertise to science, culture and academia.
